Why did you join this class?
I would like to learn more skill on a field that had always keep my passion in. when i was still in 7th grade, there was a microfilm contest in my city. My friends and i took 1 month to finished all the scrip writing, shooting and editing. It was the first time we work as a team and went through the process like professionals. So that experience kind of give me the introduction and feeling to keep doing it.
What do you hope to gain from taking this class?
A more thorough understanding and skill on cinematography
What do you know about cinematography?
It is all about a group of people working like one and make joint effort. It is also about skill and creativity that you operate in a single film. I would love to make films in order to share my ideas, my way of seeing the world.
What do you want to know about cinematography?
I have taken this class as a 8th grader, and it was so fun. Because that was the actual first class that is not sitting in a regular classroom and learn graphic design, filming editing and photography. It definitely ignite my interest on cinematography later on.
What type of films would you like to make?
I would love to try any type of films. Because the amazing part about film is the unknown possibilities.
What are three of your favorite movies?-embed trailers or screen shots and explain why you enjoy these films.
The Grand Budapest Hotel. Because i always like the style of Woody Allen. Plus this film is combine with various style. sometimes funny and sometimes suspense it has also added historical background in this movie.
Se7en. It would be my always favorite suspense/crime movie
spirited away. It is the kind of movie i can watch over and over, and each time it gave me a slight feeling which then keep the movie fresh to me every time
What is your favorite movie genre?
Suspense film and absurdist
What motivates you to work hard?
I'm the kind of periodical-idealist, so i'm intrinsic motivated, Because then I can put my thoughts into reality.
What was your favorite subject in school? Why?
Science used to be my favorite subject in school when I was in elementary school, because at that time science is not as boring as now. We did labs almost every class and raised animals to see the overall changing and we had also play games to learn the stuff which is going to be a tough course in high school.
