Happy Lazzaro

Regardless of the story or the effect of the film, "Happy Lazaro" is a rare work in recent years. Lazaro is like a mirror. His simplicity and kindness, the purity of his "superhumanity", reflects a lot of things, such as human nature, world sentiment, time passing and so on. But obviously, the director’s intention is not to explore these things. To be farther away, it is the love of humanity and divinity, and the vicissitudes of Italian society for decades. In order to better understand the film, I intend to explore the film from the following ten aspects.

First, who is Lazaro?
In the farm, Lazaro is a person with little sense of existence. Because of his honesty and honesty, everyone is calling him, as long as the people around him just do whatever he wants, let him do what he wants, and ask him what he can do, so he is such a sincere child. Unlike some people who help others in order to figure out what, figure awards are promoted, good people are good at word of mouth, etc., but Lazaro does not figure out anything. He helps people to be purely conscious and unconscious, not intentional.

He never said "no", and he never looked sad. He was always an "elegant" expression. He didn't have any friends. When he was alone, he liked to cook in a small corner away from the crowd. Coffee, like to stare at the air, even if the rainstorm comes, don’t hide...

In "Happy Lazaro", there are just three kinds of people who are more representative of human society. Lazaro, the peasants around him, and the Marquise. These three types of people represent the three levels of human beings. Relatively speaking, the "good" side of Lazaro is more prominent, and there is a rare "divineness" in his body, which is sacred from the inside out. Natural atmosphere, such as a cleansing of the heart, is not like ordinary people full of desires, he is born with an indifferent heart, in his view of survival is like a journey of peace, no purpose and meaning, and every way on the road Everyone deserves to be treated well, so he is always so contented and happy. After the fall, Lazaro is more divine than before, and "humanity" is not obvious to him. There are a few shots that reveal this information. In addition to the appearance of youth forever, he can take away the music of the church and the holy light cast between the trees, indicating that he is no longer a mortal.

There is a part in the movie, a fast-paced pop song that sings "Dream." In the movie, this song appeared twice, once in the countryside. When the young Marquis was young, he deliberately stayed away from his mother, and tried to use his "fake kidnapping" to get his mother to obtain a ransom. He lived in the hidden cave in the wilderness of Lazaro, often with With headphones listening to the song alone, Lazaro was right next to him, his face was very cute, and he seemed to understand the lyrics and could not understand. The second time, Lazaro came to the city and heard the song on the TV in the slum area. Others were talking. Only he listened to the song with ecstasy, thoughtfully. I guess he missed the young Marquis, the brother of "the same mother."In fact, this song is still very "positive energy". The lyrics are talking about dreams from beginning to end, encouraging people to bravely pursue dreams. If it appears in an inspirational style film, I may be a little excited, but in " In the happy Lazaro, I just feel ironic. Because of this story structure, where are there any dreams? Rich people can talk about their dreams, and add to the icing on the cake. What kind of dreams does the poor talk about? In addition to making a living or earning a living, living in a world where the rich rule everything, is alive. The young Marquis should have dreams. He once said to Lazaro, "We become ancient knights, fight against oppression and exploitation, and create a new world." In the end, he is just a loser. After the mother went bankrupt, he had nothing, but the walking dead was alive. And Lazaro may not know what a dream is from beginning to end. For him, the words of these people are too novel.

I recommend this movie due to its unique quality on the set and the screeplay. it conveys a deep meaning by shallow scene performances.
